Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival at Marrakech airport, you’ll be transferred to your traditional riad in the heart of the medina. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure, perhaps taking a gentle stroll through the nearby souks or relaxing on your accommodation’s rooftop terrace.

The evening offers the perfect opportunity to experience the mesmerizing atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fnaa square, where storytellers, musicians, and food vendors create an unforgettable sensory experience that has remained unchanged for centuries.

After breakfast, we depart Marrakech for an incredible journey across the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka pass. The winding mountain roads reveal breathtaking panoramic views and traditional Berber villages clinging to the hillsides.

Our first major stop brings us to the legendary Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has served as the backdrop for numerous Hollywood productions. Following lunch, we continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” where we’ll visit the impressive Taourirt Kasbah before settling in for the night.

Today’s route takes us through the stunning Skoura palm grove and the fragrant Valley of Roses, where locals harvest petals for traditional rose water production. We’ll traverse the dramatic Dades Valley before reaching the magnificent Todra Gorges, where towering limestone cliffs create a natural corridor perfect for photography.

After lunch in Tinghir, we journey toward Merzouga, passing through traditional villages and witnessing the ancient irrigation systems still used today. As the Erg Chebbi dunes come into view, we’ll switch to camels for an unforgettable trek into the Sahara, timing our arrival at the desert camp to witness a spectacular sunset over the golden sand seas.

Rise early to witness a breathtaking Sahara sunrise before returning to Merzouga by camel. After breakfast, we begin our journey toward Fes, first stopping in Rissani to explore the traditional souk and learn about the town’s significance as a former caravan trading post.

The route continues through the lush Ziz Valley, famous for its millions of date palms, before ascending into the Middle Atlas Mountains. We’ll pause in Midelt for lunch, then continue through the cedar forests of Azrou where Barbary macaques roam freely, and the Alpine-style town of Ifrane before reaching Fes by evening.

Dedicate this full day to exploring Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural heart. Accompanied by an expert local guide, navigate the labyrinthine streets of the medina, visiting the renowned Al Quaraouiyine University, one of the world’s oldest continuously operating educational institutions.

Witness the traditional leather-making process at the historic tanneries, explore the intricate craftsmanship of local artisans, and visit the Jewish Quarter (Mellah) to understand Morocco’s diverse cultural heritage. The day concludes with panoramic views of the entire medina from the surrounding hills.

After breakfast, we journey to Meknes, another of Morocco’s imperial cities, where we’ll explore the impressive Bab Mansour gate and visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. The morning continues with a visit to the nearby Roman ruins of Volubilis, where remarkably preserved mosaics and architectural remains tell the story of Roman Morocco.

In the afternoon, we travel north into the Rif Mountains, arriving in Chefchaouen as the blue-painted buildings begin to glow in the golden afternoon light. The evening is yours to explore this photographer’s paradise at your own pace.

Enjoy a leisurely morning in Chefchaouen, perhaps climbing to the Spanish Mosque for panoramic views or browsing the local handicraft shops for unique souvenirs. The narrow blue alleyways offer endless opportunities for photography and peaceful contemplation.

After lunch, we depart for Tangier, briefly stopping in Tetouan to admire its distinctive Andalusian architecture. The journey takes us through the rolling green hills of the Rif Mountains, offering a completely different landscape from the desert regions we’ve explored.

Begin the day exploring Tangier’s fascinating medina and visit the legendary Caves of Hercules at Cape Spartel, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. The morning tour includes the Kasbah and panoramic viewpoints offering views across to Spain on clear days.

We then travel south along the Atlantic coast, stopping in the charming seaside town of Asilah to admire its Portuguese-influenced white-washed medina and vibrant street art. Continuing to Rabat, we’ll visit the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V before reaching Casablanca for our final night.

Our final morning begins with a visit to Casablanca’s architectural masterpiece, the Hassan II Mosque, whose minaret stands as one of the tallest religious structures in the world. The mosque’s oceanfront location and intricate craftsmanship provide a fitting finale to our Moroccan adventure.

Following the mosque visit, we’ll transfer you back to Marrakech, timing the journey according to your departure schedule or final night’s accommodation arrangements.
